All Ducti are requested to meet to discuss city goals and to share information to protect the city.

Any horseman are welcome as well.

Much has been accomplished in recent weeks. My goal is for that to continue.

Ductus Meeting Empty Re: Ductus Meeting

Agreed. I think we should begin by declaring what territory we are each going to protect. As we discussed at the last Esbat each pack should claim a territory. As was also said these are not exclusive domains, these are not barred gates, these are places to monitor and prepare for the Sect. As such my pack and I will begin making safe houses and drop points throughout our area. It will take some time, but when we are done there will be places for Sabbat coming in from out of town, and places fellow Brothers and Sisters within the city can go to in case of emergency. My pack and I will be preparing Shady Side for the Sect. By having these bases of operation we will also be better able to catch enemies of the sect and monitor the problems already in the city. Let me know what you think of these ideas.

I'm of the opinion that since there are four packs we should each pick a cardinal direction rather than individual neighborhoods. My pack has been handling the western areas of the city towards the airport and some of downtown.

I primary discussion topics in addition to responsibilities of each pack, are how we plan to deal with the he Giovanni and Homeland Security/Hunters. The Giovanni have asked for a truce, while its almost certainly a lie, I am obligated to discuss this with the other ducti.

From the corner comes the response, Raphael forming from the shadows and bringing the faint scent of burnt blood and herbs.

I agree with Templar Kennedy. With my pack taking over territory in Greentree and the areas nearby we have positioned ourselves to have three of the four directions protected. I do not see chance that this is the case. As we three have been found worthy, the Orishas have guided our hand and given us fortune. We are positioned to succeed in this task before we knew the challenge was upon us. So let us move to the dangers we already have uncovered.

I believe the Giovanni do truly desire a truce. Beyond the veil of life the dead are in disarray. The Giovanni gambit is broken and their servants are weakened or fled, much that they controlled among the dead is laid waste and spirits fear to travel within the city. This leaves them vulnerable and they will offer us much to buy the time they require to rebuild. Like the craven vampires of the Camarilla they will try to sell us mortal influence and wealth in exchange for keeping their Blood.

My question for you my brother Ducti is do we allow these servants of the Antediluvians this time so that we may profit and work toward other goals...or do we instead end any chance of their interference and grant them the peace of oblivion?

If you wish to expand watch to cardinal directions I will agree. Since you have the West of the point, my pack and I will take the East between the Allegheny and the Monongahela. Since we have already set-up much in the area it should not be hard to increase our reach. I have also localized my advances in reclaiming the sewers for the sect in to area for now as there seems to be much more going on than anyone may have suspected. 376 also runs through this area so we will begin to watch it for any major movements.

As far as the Giovanni go, I think it would be a rough campaign to uproot them without further support. I have asked His Excellency Graves several times to contact the Arch Bishop and the Priscus in an attempt to gain further necromantic support from the Harbingers and Serpents in the sect but have heard nothing back from him. Now is the best time to burn them out, but given all of the other problems we are faced with it is a difficult decision to make. I think that without further support to shut down their wraiths we must bide our time and hinder their attempts to rebuild power. If we can keep them weak while we gather our allies then we can take them out later. I think that the new Mayor, the Hunter's, and the fact that something is obviously effecting our food supply (the congealing blood and people resisting The Kiss) are far more important. They may seem like more subtle threats, but they are very important ones. If the Mayor calls a curfew, or the hunters find where we sleep, or the humans fight back from being fed upon then we could lose sustenance, shelter, and our unlives very quickly.

I think Mordeci you are speaking of several faces shown by fewer enemies. In the sewers and mayoral race we are likely seeing the Camarilla beginning a play for the city.

The strange blood could also be the work of their blood mages, who must be significantly powerful to have called upon three of their gargoyle assault troops. It could also be the work of the Giovanni filling bodies with the dead which would mean their destruction may solve two of our problems.

More simply, we are spread thin to face all these issues separately, but if we remove the key players from the game then the Sword can concentrate its strength on those that remain. If we do not finish what is begun we will turn from the Camarilla and find the Setites and Giovanni biting on our heels.

Should we need the aid of the Gifted of the Sword then we shall seek them out. Why do we wait if the bishop will not act to support his Ducti? Pope would listen to free Sabbat who ask he aid in the Sword's battles. And if not then we must send out envoys to these powers ourselves in any city that will heed the call to battle.

Well said Brother. I disagree with some of what you have said involving the sewers, other than their attempt to rebuild them I do not think that the things down there are anything that the Camarilla know about or have any hope to face.  But on the rest I can agree. If our enemies show many faces but are hidden behind one then we must unmask them.
As far as why I have been waiting for the Bishop's reply on this matter, it is because we are new to town and we were attempting to go through the proper channels. I had not met you or Kennedy officially when we first came in and was relying on the standard protocol. Now that I know that there are other strong Ducti in the city worth working with we should make every effort to coordinate with the rest of the sect. I know that Lord Kennedy at least can speak to the Arch Bishop directly as his Templar, a situation, while which it is unusual to have someone in both positions, is necessary in these trying times. And I hope that the Bishopric is worthy of the task of keeping up with our endeavors in the future. We must also not forget that there is another Ductus in the city. And though he is Black Hand which can seem unsettling given their role, we must every effort to coordinate and strengthen our position in this city, by all means necessary short of Heresy!
As far as the Giovanni go, you are right. I sometimes am willing to go for peace, but in times like that I look to the code. An by statue VIII, even if we do not end up killing them all, then by the Lextalionis, they will know what it means to attack the Sabbat.
No Mercy, No Surrender, No Exception!

It seems I am late to this party. As Mordeci has said I am Rodger. Myself and my Priest Eve have met most of you and I'm interested in seeing what your packs are capable of. My role as a member of the Black Hand should not alarm you as my goals here are the same as the goal you are currently discussing. I was sent to Pittsburgh to help manage the warfront, and what a warfront it is. The enemies of the sword are on all sides. I am eagar to meet you all again more formally and discuss how we might continue our campaign to secure Pittsburgh for the Sabbat.

Rodger.
