He appears to be deep in thought for a moment. After a time, he shrugs.

"Could be a combination of all three. The variables there aren't mutually exclusive. I'm just saying not to rule it out."

With a sharp jerk, his gazes rises to the rafters.

"The weapons were a decoration.. Hung some time ago." he pauses and looks back at Vergil "but Toshi is correct. Someone was interrupted. Something either was going to happen or happened in that place."

Niccolai closes his eyes and begins to speak from memory.

"A woman.. Early 20s scantily dressed.. Perhaps a ghoul. She was very frightened. A stout mechanic that wears sunglasses thought he had won, but he suddenly became extremely frightened as well. A man with slicked back hair, Tony Montana type.. Angry. But there was a strange mist coming from the vents and with it a sense of malice and responsibility."

He shakes his head and shrugs "Perhaps there was a trap set." then he seems to realize something "or those are there reactions while they watch us from obfuscate."

Niccolai turns to Toshi. "Neither of us ever sat down. Its possible.. " he seems to consider something before speaking again.

"I will head back. Vergil, you look through this box and reveal anything you feel is important. Toshi call me if you guys come up with anything.. I'm going to do a more thorough investigation.."

Upon diving into the box of files and leftover paperwork and reciepts, you find multiple paystubs from various shell companies, Churches, Non-Profits, and Universities as well as reciepts of donation to various political groups and social clubs.

Many of these are just fragments of groups of papers painting no real singular picture of a situation and raising even more questions.

The only complete sets of papers are a journal and a ledger...

The ledger has various denotations of paid and recieved transactions, primarily listed through initials and code names with listed dollar amounts, most in the thousands...

The journal paints a much, much darker picture. The first page simple says "Subject C" in bold letters, then goes on to describe, in horrible detail, the measures taken to slowly break down the psyche and humanity of everything loved by "Subject C" and then slowly growing the subject's new morality through a "Clockwork Orange" style reconditioning. The last few pages refer to the subject "proving quite agreeable thanks to the new change in attitude.

The security of the main hall of the cathedral is exactly what would be expected from a fairly well funded state university. A few security cameras amd the occasional member of security personel walking through.

"do we know when this event occurred, about how many days ago ruffly. if it was about 3 weeks ago, this was about the time that desantes was summoned before us and was outted as the betrayer, which would explain leaving in a hurry. there is also the gargoyles showing up which means he was in communication with there master and the trap could have been set in motion upon his return to his haven here. would it help to have the numbers of the phones that he used to possibly track him if he didn't ditch them already?"

"Oh yes, numbers would be fantastic. I will let the Digital Blade handle that though. Could you describe a bit of what DeSantes looked like for real quick?"

Toshi practically dives onto his laptop.

He is going to hardwire himself into the security of the Esbat site, and begin tearing apart the financial histories of all these companies and groups. Any suspicious activity, employee files, financial transactions, list of local facilities, and their addresses are search targets.

When this is finished he steps outside.

Using Beckoning, he summons 28 blood traits worth of Crows.

"Search the city for shadows that move on their own. Find the traitor Desantes, the dark man who haunted the roof of the Siemens building." He says, raising his arms to the sky as they take off

Returning to his computers, he begins to analyze the results.

The files themselves seem to be nothing more than the good bookkeeping of a diligent multi millionaire... The companies are all either locally based, or national/international corporations with major offices based in Pittsburgh...

The paystubs from universities are Pitt, Duquesne, CMU and Robert Morris, and all have easily followable paper trails that seem legitimate...

There are 4 church finance boards he sits on and has legal proxy over the funds of 3 of them...

The phone numbers (3) are dead on 2 lines, and one is active. When called, and answering service for the "office of Mr. Fortunado" picks up. Your contacts say it is a landline tied to the top floor of the Union Trust Building.

Tell me what you need based on that initial information...

" i can do better than describing him." vergil picks up a sketch book and begins drawing desantes with great detail along with every outfit and accessory that the traitor ever wore when he met him each time. flips the page and rites down some of his mannerisms along with everything else that could be used to identify him along with what his aura looks like.
" this is everything that i can recall about desantes, i hope this helps out more"

The drawing Vergil does is identical to the image Niccolai saw at the Union Trust building of the man behind the desk...

In a flash, he flits out the door.

Shuffling the papers Frank looks up pointing to a few of them. "There's an anomaly in these papers. St. Peter's Church, a location familiar to the Archbishop, is making contributions to Desantes but he has no legal proxy for it."

Niccolai and Toshi are standing next to DeSantes' haven.

Niccolai turns to Toshi and says "The birds say the last time they saw DeSantes was a month ago and he came out of both of these buildings.." he gestures to his haven. "Here he was sloppy and let it go.." he then gestures to the chapel. "Here he went through extensive effort to keep sealed.. Something is in here."

Niccolai ponders a moment and acknowledges Vergils presence. "Any news?"

St. Peter's. Archbishop Walter Pope used to be affiliated with it; was making contributions to our wayward former Bishop without a proxy. It was the only one set up that way. Also, that Cam ventrue, Jonathan Mercer; the one my pack and I staked then diablerized a few months back, had his hands in Desantes finances. We need to check out Pyramid Paper & Plastic.
